NVIDIA has announced the release of its new generative AI tool, ‘NVIDIA AI blueprint.’ The new feature is designed to help developers create AI-powered retail shopping assistants. 

According to the platform, the AI blueprint for retail shopping assistants is the latest addition to its NVIDIA AI Blueprints library. The company claims the NVIDIA AI blueprint is built to function as a digital assistant that works alongside humans. The system aims to offer “the expertise of sales associates, stylists, or designers to assist customers.”

Azita Martin, VP of AI for retail at NVIDIA, says AI shopping agents built using the NVIDIA AI blueprint “can elevate shopping experiences, turning what can be impersonal transactions into smarter, more enjoyable interactions.” He claims that the new tool would enhance shopping by offering intelligent product recommendations, personalized interactions, and enhanced customer experiences.

Key features of the retail shopping assistant blueprint

NVIDIA's retail shopping assistant blueprint is built on NVIDIA AI Enterprise and Omniverse platforms. The tool integrates different technologies including NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails safety features, and  NVIDIA Omniverse for design and visualization capabilities.

Multimodal and multi-query capabilities with NVIDIA NeMomicroservices

According to the platform, the tool will let shoppers use text and image prompts to search for products, ask contextual questions, or create tailored shopping lists, such as travel wardrobes.

Large Language Models (LLMs) 

NVIDIA explained that the integration of NVIDIA Llama Nemotron LLMs allows for human-like reasoning and interaction. These models are designed to make shopping assistants more conversational.

Retailer-specific context

NVIDIA's retail shopping assistant blueprint can analyze product catalogs with text and images to provide context-aware and accurate recommendations.

Safety Guardrails

The platform says NVIDIA's retail shopping assistant blueprint provides Guardrails that conversations remain safe and align with the retailer’s brand values.

Virtual environment simulations

With tools like NVIDIA Omniverse, the blueprint enables customers to visualize products in realistic, physically accurate virtual environments.

Rollout and availability

The tool is currently in early access. Companies including  SoftServe, Dell Technologies, and World Wide Technology (WWT) have been granted testing access.
